About Kenya

More opportunities for all residents. More safety in our neighborhoods. More pride in the place we call home.

As a mom of three and a longtime South Fulton resident, I’ve experienced firsthand the joy and the challenges of raising a family here. I love our city. I love our people. But like many residents, I’ve had moments when I’ve looked around and thought, we deserve more.

I grew up in Macon, GA, with two amazing parents, both of whom dedicated their lives to serving others in the public sector. My mother taught in public schools for over 41 years, and my father served in the military before spending more than four decades working at the Air Force base. From them, I learned the importance of hard work, service, and community values that continue to guide me today and that I strive to instill in my children.

I attended the illustrious Clark Atlanta University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and later my master’s degree in Public Administration. During my time at Clark Atlanta, I also became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., furthering my lifelong dedication to service and community empowerment. During my graduate studies, I interned with the City of Atlanta, which became the start of an 18-year career in public service. I also had the privilege of working with global and Fortune 500 companies, where I collaborated with senior and executive leaders to develop initiatives that put people first and drive meaningful, lasting impact.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked in human resources, talent acquisition, and strategic development, helping organizations build stronger, fairer, and more efficient systems that help uplift people and ensure no one is left behind. That same people-centered approach is what I want to bring to City Council: thoughtful leadership that listens, plans, and delivers real results in our community.

Our city has the foundation to rise above its current challenges and become a true model for progress. I want my children, and every child in District 4, to grow up in a community that reflects our pride, our potential, and our promise, a city where families feel safe, businesses can grow, and every resident can proudly say, “I’m proud to call South Fulton home.”
